Matthijs en Jan-Willem winnen slide-event

Afgelopen zaterdag hebben Matthijs en Jan-Willem op de NKIR het slide-event gewonnen. Dit evenement werd op de 19de NKIR voor het eerst georganiseerd. In een wedstrijd over 500 meter namen Matthijs en Jan-Willem het op slides op tegen 4 andere koppels.

Na een matige start kwamen zij net op tijd op stoom om in de laatste 100 meter het koppel Lucken/Siegelaar van de 1ste plaats te kunnen stoten. Met een voorsprong van 0,4 sec. werd de virtuele afstand gewonnen.

Gezien de grote belangstelling voor het evenement en het spectaculaire gezicht zullen we dit evenement zeer waarschijnlijk terugzien tijdens de volgende editie van de NKIR.
